He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013 and commissioned as a transportation officer. He spent his Lieutenant years in the 82nd Airborne Division, servings as a Distribution Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Transportation Support Operation Officer. As a Captain he served as a S3 training officer and a Company Commander of the 149th Seaport Operations Company.
