She commissioned as a Military Intelligence officer in 2016. Her past assignments include platoon leader, company executive officer, and company commander. In 2019, she deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Alyssa holds a master's degree in political science from Boston College and a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Rhode Island.
