Carl Lundell serves as the laboratory program director, provides oversight on all department instrumentation and responsible for executing the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering's financial resources. He retired after serving 24 years as an Army officer having held numerous positions within both the conventional force and the Joint Special Operations community. He deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan and Africa.
He received his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from Temple University. Upon leaving the Army, he served as a delivery weapons expert for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), before returning to USMA to take his current role.
