Dr. Charles D. Faint

Dr. Faint served 27 years as a commissioned officer in the US Army and in retirement now works as the managing editor for the Modern War Institute at West Point. While on active duty, he completed seven combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 5th Special Forces Group, the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, and the Joint Special Operations Command. Dr. Faint earned a doctorate in business administration from Temple University and a master of arts in international relations from Yale University. He previously taught at West Point in the Department of Social Sciences, the Simon Center for the Professional Military Ethic, and the Department of Military Instruction.
