COL Chi Nguyen, PhD

Colonel Nguyen graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. degree in chemistry and was commissioned as a military intelligence officer in the United States Army in 1997. She subsequently earned a M.S. degree in management from University of Maryland University College in 2003, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from University of California Santa Barbara in 2005 and 2016, respectively. 

Colonel Nguyen is an Academy Professor in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering with experience as a Program Director for an American Chemical Society approved Chemistry Program, and as a Course Director for General Chemistry II, Inorganic Chemistry, and Polymer Chemistry. She is actively involved in advising cadets as a department academic counselor, mentoring cadets as a research advisor, and facilitating cadet summer enrichment opportunities through the Advanced Individual Academic Development program.
