Christine Getzler Vaughan is a visiting diplomat from the U.S. Department of State, where she has served as a Foreign Service Officer since 2007. Most recently, she served as Spokesperson and Deputy Public Affairs Advisor at the United States Mission to NATO. Her diplomatic career has included assignments as Regional Refugee Coordinator for East Asia at Embassy Bangkok, and Public Affairs Officer at Consulate General Surabaya, with additional postings in Washington, DC; Sydney, Australia; and Tel Aviv, Israel.
Christine holds an MA in Political Science from Arizona State University and is ABD for a PhD in Public Administration. She earned her BA in Political Science and International Relations from Syracuse University's Maxwell School. Prior to joining the State Department, she worked for CNN Special Events during the 2004 and 2006 election cycles and served as a rowing coach overseeing programs for 150 athletes. She is married with three children.
