
Dr. Coleen M. Watson
Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy
Law & Philosophy
Dr. Watson's research interests are in ethics and political philosophy, focusing on liberal democratic theory, citizenship, applied ethics, and social epistemology. Since starting at West Point in 2024, she has also developed an interest in just war theory and military ethics into these other concentrations.
On top of her teaching and research, she has engaged in public-facing philosophical work with Texas State University’s Philosophy Dialogue Series, and the Binghamton University Critical Thinking Lab.
She is also the OIC for the West Point Ethics Debate Team (Go Army Ethics!)
