CPT Dairen Jean, MS Instructor Chemistry & Life Science dairen.jean [at] westpoint.edu About Education Research & Publications Captain Jean is an instructor of general chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Life Science. He commissioned as a chemical officer after earning a B.S. in chemistry from the United States Military Academy in 2014. He served as the Brigade CBRN Officer, Brigade Chief of Operations, and the Commander for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division with operational deployments to Afghanistan. Following company command, he completed a M.S. in Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His thesis focused on the astrochemistry, particularly rotational spectra of small organic molecules.
