
CPT Darian Abenes hails from Northern Virginia and commissioned into the U.S. Army in 2016 through Augusta University, where she earned a B.S. in psychology. As an engineer officer, she served as a platoon leader and Executive Officer at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, and as a company commander at Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
She holds an M.A. in history from Florida State University, where she is pursuing her Ph.D. She currently serves as an instructor in the Military History Division at the United States Military Academy.
She is joined at West Point by her husband, Joseph, and their two daughters, Naomi and Maize.
