LTC David J. Leydet

LTC David Leydet is a space operations officer (FA40) with a background as an armor and signal officer. His experiences include time in cavalry squadrons, brigade support battalions, and as a junior rotating faculty member in the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering at West Point. 

Dave also deployed as a reconnaissance platoon leader with 2nd Infantry Division to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His most recent operational experience was as the battalion operations officer for the 1st Space Battalion in Fort Carson, CO. His research interests include conflict, environmental security, human-environment geography, and machine learning.
