MAJ Derrick Hall, MS Instructor Chemistry & Life Science derrick.hall [at] westpoint.edu About Education Research & Publications Captain Derrick Hall is an instructor in the Department of Chemistry and Life Sciences and teaches general chemistry. Upon graduating from West Point in 2014 with a B.S. degree in Chemistry, he commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Military Intelligence Corps. He then immediately attended Purdue University as a GEM Fellow to obtain a Master of Science degree in Chemistry. CPT Hall has served in several intelligence officer positions spanning from Battalion S2 in a Brigade Combat Team to Intelligence Planner in an Army Service Component Command G2 Directorate. M.S. in Chemistry - Purdue University B.S. in Chemistry (Honors) - United States Military Academy Current Research Captain Hall’s graduate school research explored the use of essential trace elements as catalysts for decontamination of chemical warfare agents.
