CPT (P) Devon Hudson graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2015 and commissioned as an Ordnance Officer. Upon completing the Ordnance Basic Officer Leader Course, he attended and graduated from the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal School in 2016. As an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) officer, he has held a variety of positions supporting joint, multinational, and civilian law enforcement partners across diverse mission sets. His assignments include Platoon Leader and Operations Officer, 702nd Ordnance Company (EOD); Assistant S3, 242d Ordnance Battalion (EOD); and Commander, 764th Ordnance Company (EOD).
His awards include the Air Assault Badge, Senior EOD Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.
CPT(P) Hudson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Science degree from Western Michigan University. He is a human geographer by trade, with research interests in sports and agricultural geography. His previous work has explored the foundational role of place in shaping and sustaining individual identity, with a particular focus on sports fandom and allegiances.
