A 1987 graduate of the West Point Military Academy, Dr. Germain returned to the Department of Physical Education in 1996 as a rotating military instructor and then again in 2004 as an academy professor. After almost three decades in uniform, he retired from the Army in 2015 and took a position as the director of kinesiology and professor of sport leadership.
