Dr. Elise Dykhuis is an Assistant Professor and Character Scientist in the Simon Center for the Professional Military Ethic. She teaches in the Department of Mathematical Sciences as well as the Eisenhower Leader Development Program, focused on applied statistics and research methods. Her research and cadet advising focuses on character development in higher education, specifically measurement and assessment across all virtues, and particularly intellectual humility. Her interdisciplinary work bridges developmental, personality, and social psychology, as well as disciplines outside the social sciences. Dr. Dykhuis received her BA in Psychology and German at the University of Notre Dame and her MA/PhD in Child Study and Human Development from Tufts University.
