Dr. Galamo Monkam is a multidisciplinary researcher and educator with a background spanning cybersecurity, machine learning, and applied mathematics. He is currently affiliated with the Robotics Research Center (RRC) within the Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. Prior to this role, he completed two years of postdoctoral research at the Army Cyber Institute (ACI) at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point.

Before joining ACI, Dr. Monkam served as a mathematics and computer science instructor at Bowie State University and Morgan State University, where he supported academic programs and mentored students in STEM and emerging technologies.

He holds advanced degrees not only in applied and computational mathematics but also in computer science, along with six industry-recognized certifications: CompTIA CASP+, CompTIA Security+, PCAP (Python Certified Associate Programmer), AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, and  AWS Certified Developer – Associate.

Dr. Monkam is a dynamic and multitasked professional, dedicated to advancing research, innovation, and education in secure and trustworthy computing systems.
