Ian Kloo earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary in 2011 and a Master’s in Policy Analytics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014. Following his graduate studies, Ian was awarded the Presidential Management Fellowship which allowed him to work on data science projects throughout the DoD enterprise and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During this time, Ian focused on deploying modern analytics to the counter-threat finance problem space and was part of a successful multi-agency effort to financially degrade terror networks. Ian’s current research focuses on applying emerging analytic methodologies to problems in the intelligence and special operations communities. Recent research domains include simulation, natural language processing, entity resolution, and machine vision. Ian and his wife Nora are parents to three year old twins.
