LTC Jason C. Brown is a research scientist and assistant professor at the Army Cyber Institute at West Point. He teaches risk management, organizational security, and systems-based decision making. As a futurist, he studies emerging threats, technological and social trends, and responses to those threats. He also leads a research division investigating cyber law, policy, and strategy issues on behalf of Army and other defense stakeholders. LTC Brown has worked within the intelligence, information operations, and cyber career fields. He has authored technical reports on the future of extremism, information warfare, cyber enabled financial crimes, microtargeting, and Chinese soft power. LTC Brown is a 2000 graduate of West Point. He is the Deputy OIC of the Army Men’s Volleyball club and was a former captain of that team as a cadet. He is a certified USA Volleyball referee and has coached girls youth and boys high school volleyball teams in Italy and Arizona. In his free time, LTC Brown plays organ for Sunday services at his church, plays D&D weekly, and attends Army sporting events with his wife and three kids.
