MAJ Jonathan J. Dove Instructor Department of Social Sciences jonathan.dove [at] westpoint.edu About Education Research & Publications Major Jonathan Dove is an Instructor of American Politics in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Jon graduated from Radford University with a bachelor's and master's degree in criminal justice. Upon receiving his commission through Radford's ROTC program in 2013, Jon was assigned to Fort Carson, CO where he served as an infantry platoon leader. As a Captain, Jon served as an intelligence officer in both tactical and strategic assignments at Schofield Barracks, HI. Most recently, MAJ Dove earned a Master of Public Policy from the University of Virginia. His research interests include ethics in public policy and the interplay between military service and religious free exercise. Jon is married to his wife, Lily, and they have three beautiful daughters.
