Lieutenant Colonel Justin Toole commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate through Army ROTC at the University of North Georgia (Dahlonega, GA). As a junior Engineer officer, he served as a Platoon Leader, Company XO, and Company Commander in mechanized, route clearance, and training units at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. During that time, he deployed to Baghdad, Iraq as a Route Clearance Platoon Leader. As a field grade officer, he served as Deputy Division Engineer and Battalion S3/XO within the 3rd BCT, 101st Airborne Division (Fort Campbell, KY). He deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan as a Combined Task Force XO. Later, Lieutenant Colonel Toole served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) as a Deputy District Commander (Nashville, TN).
