LTC Karoline Hood

Assistant Professor

Currently leading the Advanced Math Program (MA153 & MA255).

LTC Hood has held several leadership positions, including serving as a platoon leader deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and as a company commander deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Additionally, she served in the Seattle District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where she supported a FEMA mission in response to the 2014 Oso Landslide as an on-ground engineer to assist search and rescue efforts. In addition, she was a project engineer at Johnson Space Center in the astronaut office and in the vehicle integration testing office. She is a Professional Engineer (licensed in Missouri), Project Management Professional, and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design in New Construction. She holds a private pilot license for fixed wing single engines.
