Captain Lucas Litle commissioned into the Army through ROTC in 2016 after graduating with a BA in History from San Francisco State University. A San Francisco native, CPT Litle grew up playing basketball and baseball and roots for the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco Giants. He began his Army career as an Armor officer in 2IBCT, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, CO, where he served as a cavalry platoon leader and troop executive officer. In 2018, he deployed with 3-61 CAV to Kosovo in support of KFOR 24. As a Captain and new Military Intelligence officer, he served as a cavalry squadron S2 in 1BCT, 10th Mountain Division and deployed to Syria in 2022 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. CPT Litle then attended graduate school at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, where he studied Mandarin, Chinese security policy, and US security policy in the Indo-Pacific region. Upon graduating, he began his service as an international affairs instructor at West Point, a job he has wanted since he commissioned. He is an avid outdoorsman and likes to spend his time hunting, fishing, and trail running.
