CPT(P) Megan E. Howard

CPT Megan Howard is from Washington, GA, and commissioned from the University of North Georgia in 2014 with a B.A. in international affairs, Middle East concentration, and an Arabic minor. Her first assignment as a Signal officer was with 304th Expeditionary Signal Battalion in Camp Humphreys, Korea, as both a platoon leader and executive officer. Megan then attended airborne school in preparation for her next assignment with the 112th Signal Battalion (SO)(A) at Fort Bragg, NC. 

From there, she deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan, from 2017-18 as part of Operation Resolute Support, serving as the Theater Network Control Center-Afghanistan Director for NATO Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan (NSOCC-A). As a CPT, Megan served in the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) as the 1-33 CAV Squadron S6 from 2019-21 and the Division G6 as a Network Officer from 2021-23.

CPT Howard earned her master's degree in community and economic development from Penn State University in 2019, and an M.A. in history from the University of New Hampshire in 2025. She is currently working on her dissertation in U.S.-Iraqi relations under Presidents Reagan and George H.W. Bush.
