COL Mike Rosol has served as an active-duty Army officer in various tactical, strategic, and educational positions since 2001. He has served as an Armor and Cavalry Officer and Army Strategist in 1st Cavalry Division, the 82nd Airborne Division, the United States Military Academy, XVIII Airborne Corps, and Joint Task Force-North with four total deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. 

He currently serves as an Academy Professor and director of the International Affairs Program in the Department of Social Sciences. Mike holds a BS from West Point and an MA and PhD from the University of Chicago. His research interests include international order, the politics of military adaptation and change, and the military’s role in national security policy planning.
