MAJ Riley M. Kramer

MAJ Riley M. Kramer is a Logistics Officer from Akron, Ohio. He graduated and commissioned from The Ohio State University in 2015 with a B.S. in Business Administration. MAJ Kramer earned a M.S. in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2021 and a M.A. in U.S. History from the University of Houston in 2025. He is currently working on his dissertation which examines the U.S. Army's influence on U.S. foreign affairs in the early twentieth century.

After commissioning, MAJ Kramer attended the Quartermaster Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) at Fort Lee, VA. MAJ Kramer then served as the Fuel Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for 249th CSC 189th CSSB 82nd Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade at Fort Bragg, NC.

MAJ Kramer deployed to Iraq in 2017-2018 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve where he served as the Taji Counter-ISIS Train and Equip Fund- Iraq (CTEF-I) Responsible Officer. He was responsible for the divestment of approximately $100 million worth of CTEF-I, armor, weapons, ammunition and vehicles to the Iraqi Security Forces.

After returning from Iraq MAJ Kramer served as Aide-de-Camp for LTG Mark Simerly, the former Commander of DLA Troop Support in Philadelphia, PA. MAJ Kramer supported LTG Simerly’s mission to provide more than $17 billion worth of supplies across five diverse supply chains to America’s warfighters worldwide. After serving with DLA, MAJ Kramer attended the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course (CLC3) at Fort Lee, VA. 

MAJ Kramer was then assigned to 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, at Fort Hood, TX in March 2020. After taking command of H FSC 2-8 CAV he deployed with 2-8 CAV to Lithuania in support of European Deterrence Initiative in November 2020. MAJ Kramer became a recipient of the Noble Patron of Armor award before relinquishing command of H FSC in March 2021. He then took command of A Co 115th BSB in April 2021 in Skwierzyna, Poland. MAJ Kramer redeployed to Fort Hood in July 2021 completing his Atlantic Resolve mission. He relinquished command of A Co in April 2022 before joining the Houston Recruiting Battalion. MAJ Kramer served as the Houston West Recruiting Company Commander from June 2022 through July 2023.

In addition to QM BOLC and CLC3 MAJ Kramer’s military education includes the Basic Airborne Course, Aerial Delivery and Materiel Officer’s Course (ADMOC/Rigger), Combatives Level 1, Combatives Level 2, Combat Lifesaver, Unit Movement Officer TC-AIMS and the Recruiting Company Commander and 1SG Course.

MAJ Kramer is married to Dr. Ghamar Bitar an OB/GYN physician and they are proud parents of two children.
