CPT(P) Ryan Rubega Instructor Social Sciences ryan.rubega [at] westpoint.edu About Education Ryan serves as an Instructor of Economics in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy.Ryan commissioned as an Infantry Officer from the University of Connecticut (UConn) in 2015 and served as a mechanized infantry platoon leader and company executive officer in 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, TX, deploying to Kuwait in 2017 to support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Spartan Shield. Ryan served as a rifle company commander and headquarters company commander in 3rd Brigade (Rakkasans), 101st Airborne Division (AASLT), Fort Campbell, KY from 2021 to 2023.Upon selection to teach in the Department of Social Sciences, Ryan moved to New York to complete his MBA at Columbia Business School. Ryan is passionate about personal finance, has completed non-profit work with the Life Skills for Soldiers personal finance program, and is a candidate for CFP® certification. He is married to Darby Rubega, and their daughter Charli (1) greets every dog she meets on post.
