
CPT Sam Mahle is an Aviation Officer and an Instructor in the Department of Systems Engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy in 2017 and a Master of Science degree in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology while serving as a Draper Fellow.
Sam completed rotary and fixed wing flight school in 2020. He then served as a a Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Forward Aviation Detachment Officer in Charge in Eastern Europe while assigned to the 204th Military Intelligence Battalion (Aerial Reconnaissance) at Fort Bliss, TX supporting Aerial Sensitive Reconnaissance Operations globally. After completing the Military Intelligence Captain’s Career Course in 2023, he returned to the 204th MI BN where he served as a Battalion Executive Officer then Commander of the Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) Company supporting intelligence gathering missions across four continents.
Sam is qualified on the Army's C12U and Global 6500 platforms.
He and his wife Kate have two daughter's, Hudson and Elise.
