Lieutenant Colonel Brian Holloway is an Academy Professor in the Physics and Nuclear Engineering Department at the United States Military Academy (USMA). He graduated from Morgan State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics.
LTC Holloway earned his M.S. degree in Applied Physics from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2010, and his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 2022. His dissertation research involved identifying and characterizing point defects in nonlinear optical crystals using electron paramagnetic spectroscopy. He is currently serving as the Director of the USMA Photonics Research Center and as a Principal Investigator with the Atomic, Molecular, and Optical research group.
