CPT Jeffrey Edmonds is an instructor in the Department of English & World Languages at the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York. He serves in the Chinese section as a course director and coordinator for the USMA–Taiwan Military Immersion Exchange Program.
He holds a master’s degree in East Asian Regional Studies from Columbia University. His research focuses on China’s BeiDou Satellite Navigation System and its strategic role in embedding alternative technical standards within global infrastructure via integration with emerging digital networks.
He has served in operational and staff assignments across the space operations enterprise, most recently as deputy chief of a space control planning team supporting U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.
He holds the Space Operations Badge, Air Assault Badge, Mountaineering Badge, and Expert Infantryman Badge, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
