MAJ William Choate

MAJ William Choate grew up on a small farm in Ohio and graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA) in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Portuguese. He was commissioned as an armor officer and served at Fort Stewart, GA, as a scout platoon leader, and then in Europe as the Adjutant to the Brigade Commander of 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. In 2017, MAJ Choate became a civil affairs officer and deployed to Colombia in 2019 as a team leader. 

MAJ Choate earned a Master of Arts in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida International University in 2022 and now serves as a senior instructor of Portuguese in the Department of English & World Languages (DEWL) at USMA.
