Dr. Greg Freisinger is a 2006 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering and was an Army ROTC cadet. He commissioned as an Engineer Officer and was assigned to the 84th Engineer Battalion in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He deployed to Thailand on a humanitarian construction mission as a platoon leader and later to Iraq as Executive Officer of the Forward Support Company. Greg left active duty in 2010, where he enrolled at The Ohio State University eventually earning a MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on orthopedic biomechanics. Dr. Freisinger has taught dynamics, vibrations engineering, and biomechanical engineering while advising many varied capstone and independent study projects. He is also assigned to Keller Army Community Hospital as a US Army Reservist with the Division 1 Sports Physical Therapy Fellowship. Dr. Freisinger is a Class of 2014 Tillman Scholar and a graduate of Ranger School and Sapper Leader Course.
