
CPT Marc Samland serves as an Instructor of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He received his commission following graduation from the United States Military Academy in 2016 and then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he earned his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He then reported to the 864th Engineer Battalion, 555th Engineer Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington where he served as a platoon leader in the 610th Engineer Support Company and then as the executive officer for the 22nd Engineer Clearance Company. Relocating to Camp Humphreys, South Korea, he served as the 11th Engineer Battalion's current operations officer, before taking command of the 55th Combat Engineer Company- Armored.
