Joint Chiefs Of Staff Chairman To Speak At Graduation
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will serve as the commencement speaker at the U.S. Military Academy’s Class of 2022 graduation ceremony at West Point, New York, on Saturday, May 21.
This will mark his first visit as graduation speaker.
Milley, a native of Winchester, Massachusetts, graduated from Princeton University in 1980, where he received his commission as an armor officer from the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in international relations from Columbia University and another Master of Arts degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College. Throughout his career, Milley has had multiple command and staff positions in eight divisions and special forces throughout the last 43 years.
The graduation ceremony is by invitation only.
