COL Steven Chetcuti was an Honor Graduate from the U.S. Military Academy in 2002. He was initially commissioned as an Aviation Officer and is dual-branched Aviation and Military Intelligence. He has served in a variety of Aviation and Military Intelligence units up to include the Intelligence and Security Command Headquarters. He has commanded at the company and battalion levels. COL Chetcuti served in the department from 2010-2014 and and briefly from 2020-2021, prior to completing his battalion command. He returned as permanent faculty (Academy Professor) in 2024 following his completion of the U.S. Army War College (Senior Staff College) as a distinguished graduate. He has taught and directed courses in the Aerodynamics, Thermo-Fluid Systems, Engineering Mechanics and Design. He is the Director of the Academic Flight Program and performs flight duties in the C-T206H. He is a Master Army Aviator with over 2,200 flight hours (>1000 combat) in six different Army aircraft.
